Solving Big Problems with Mid-size Budgets

This week, CESAR participated at the Midsize Enterprise Summit Fall held in Houston, Texas – which brought together industry leaders and executives from companies with 100 to 1,000 employees to discuss strategies to drive success and future-proof their businesses. A core theme at the event: the CIOs at mid-size companies can not afford to make a mistake because they have similar challenges as larger enterprises but lack access to big budgets to solve them.

Gartner’s Mike Cisek, a prominent voice in the midsize enterprise landscape, has reflected on the temptation for smaller companies to emulate larger enterprises, and advised against doing so. Instead, midsize enterprises have the opportunity to carve out their own path and take advantage of their increased agility and ability to make swifter decisions without the more bureaucratic constraints faced by larger companies.

Most midsize enterprises today face a challenging environment, as inflation drives up costs and concerns about an impending recession dampen spending. These economic pressures necessitate a strategic approach to managing resources and making smarter investments. The summit offered valuable insights into adaptive measures that can help midsize enterprises navigate these challenges successfully.

In search of practical uses of emerging technology

A crucial point of interest among midsize enterprises is leveraging emerging technologies such as A.I. which can expedite productivity, enhance outcomes, and ultimately bolster these companies’ bottom lines. Midsize enterprises need to identify the specific ways in which technology can be harnessed to fuel growth.

The summit emphasized the importance of establishing robust software architecture and efficient processes early on. This crucial step ensures midsize enterprises do not encounter the need for extensive restructuring as they scale and evolve into larger entities. Implementing scalable systems from the outset saves time, resources, and minimizes disruptions during periods of growth.

CESAR’s role in speeding innovation that matters

During Flávia Nascimento’s, our Head of Growth North America, presentation at the event and the questions posed from mid-size CIOs, they expressed some concern about CESAR’s legacy of serving some of the world’s largest global brands that are much larger enterprises than most attending the summit. They asked if we could service their needs on smaller budgets and we confirmed that CESAR is more than able to build software, design new processes, and develop novel approaches to address major challenges on mid-sized budgets.

Our expertise across sophisticated technologies is an advantage for them as we can quickly apply our key learnings and know-how to some of their biggest challenges – including cyber security, automating processes to reduce wasted resources, becoming more data driven, and taking advantage of new technologies from A.I. to computer vision and the internet of things.

Many of the CIOs were impressed by CESAR’s history of creating breakthrough designs and custom-built software that help our customers scale their businesses quickly on-demand – especially our capability to create new tools that don’t even exist today. We work closely with our customers to conceptualize, develop, test, iterate, and deploy them on the most appropriate tech stack and architecture on time and within budget.
